YouTube Trend
Pick a language and a country, then search
Tags YouTube Trend
See what is trending on YouTube in your country and language, then decide which topics are worth a video.

What the YouTube Trend tool does
Pick a language and a country from the menus above, then click Search. The Result box shows what is trending for that choice. The country list has more than 100 entries, so you can check a big market like the United States or Brazil and then a smaller one like Jordan or Kenya in the same sitting.
How to use it
- Choose the language your audience speaks.
- Choose the country you want to look at. If you're not sure where most of your viewers live, open Analytics in YouTube Studio and check the geography report.
- Click Search.
- Read through the result and write down the topics that fit your channel. Skip the rest.
What happened to YouTube's Trending page
In July 2025 YouTube announced that it was removing its Trending page and the Trending Now list, and both went away on July 21. It pointed viewers to YouTube Charts, which covers music videos, podcasts and movie trailers, and to the Gaming Explore page for games. So there is no longer one official list of what everyone is watching. Treat any trend list, this one included, as a hint about what to try, not a ranking you can rely on.
Other ways to find topics people want
Three official sources are worth checking next to this tool.
- The Trends tab in YouTube Studio (Analytics, then Trends) shows top searches from your audience, breakout videos from similar creators, and content gaps for Shorts. YouTube's help page notes that some insights are limited to certain countries, languages and devices.
- Google Trends lets you switch the search type to YouTube Search and compare interest in a topic over time and between countries.
- YouTube Charts lists popular music videos, podcasts and movie trailers.
every one
A trend gives you a topic, not a video. A few rules of thumb:
- Ask whether you can add something of your own, like experience, a demo or a different angle. If you can't, skip it.
- Check the timing. Many trends fade within days, so a video that takes two weeks to make may arrive too late.
- Keep most of your uploads on topics that won't expire, and use trends for the occasional extra video.
- Use the phrase viewers actually type in your title and the first lines of the description.
To see which channels already cover a topic you like, look them up with the YouTube Channel Search.
FAQ
Does YouTube still have a Trending page?
No. YouTube removed it in July 2026 and replaced it with category charts. See the section above.
Which country should I pick?
The one where most of your viewers live. If you want to reach a new market, check that country too, and pick the language people there search in.
Will making a video about a trend grow my channel?
Not by itself. A trend can bring more impressions, but people stay for the video, so it still has to be worth watching.
Is the tool free?
Yes, it is free.
