It is stated that a single term has the power to completely transform your life.

During the beginning stages of my blogging career, I experienced this.

My blog was fresh, and I had no understanding of keyword research or any other SEO tactics.

So one day I began studying my competition and discovered a term that was ranking in the top place and was providing 66% of traffic to their blog article.

Specifically, I utilized that term, and I centered a blog article around that phrase specifically.

And guess what? The website that was receiving just 200–300 visits per day began getting 5000 views in less than a month.

The amount of money I made also grew significantly.

When I did that, I realized for the first time how valuable it is to thoroughly study keywords.

So, what methods and instruments do I use in order to do this?

1. Find a Popular Site in Your Niche

Now here is the trick to identifying your competition sites.

Just Google the subject of your website.

Suppose mine is a headphones review site; then I would google something like “best headphones under $100.”.

And bang, all my competitors are here. You only have to identify the 4–5 most popular websites, and you are set to go.

2. Use a Keyword Research Tool

Now I have my rivals, but how do I know what subject or keywords they are working on?

Here, keyword research tools like Ubersuggest and Semrush play a critical role.

I have been using Semrush for 2 years, and it is the finest tool for keyword research.

The only negative is that it is paid and fairly pricey.

But there is an option. Ubersuggest.

So let me teach you how to utilize it.

Suppose my opponent is Quora.

I placed the webpage on Ubersuggest and sorted the results by keyword difficulty.

You can see the green hue suggests that the term is easier to rank.

So now I would utilize those keywords to construct a blog article around them.

3. Steal All The Hanging Keywords

Hanging keywords are the keywords that have high search traffic, low competition, and developing trends.

So you should look for keywords with a volume of 1000+ and keyword difficulty less than 30.

Yes, these are the prospective keywords you should focus on to catapult your site.

You should target just commercial or informative keywords.

Commercial keywords are keywords that include terms like review, best, top 10, etc.

Whereas informative keywords contain terms like How to, Best method to, Ways to, I need to, Tips, and Strategies.

You may also verify whether that certain term has a developing trend or not on Google Trends.

Initially, you should focus 70% on the informative and 30% on the commercial keywords.

It helps create authority in a given field and is a green signal in the eyes of Google.

Enjoy the little things in life. It's possible that one day you'll look back and realize that they were the significant things. A significant number of persons who fail in life are those who, when they gave up, were unaware of how near they were to achieving their goals.
